The Canalside Craft Centre, Galgate, near Lancaster is handily ‘Canalside’ with adjacent moorings for our Narrowboats. The Canalside Craft Centre is easily found by the canal marina.
You can relax and unwind, by the Lancaster Canal and enjoy light snacks, teas and coffees, homemade cakes and main meals – we have three roasts on daily.
The Canalside Craft Centre was established in 1991 by Phil Bunting who has been chief mealmaker ever since. Phil is ably assisted by Helen and Sue and by The Canalside’s own cake baker, Gina.
The cafe easily caters for fifty people inside and on a nice day you can pass the time and also dine outside by the canal. There is plenty of tables to watch the narrowboats glide by. You’ll feel like your away from it all, and you can walk to the nearby canal bridge and view the marina or have a stroll by the canal.

Disabled Access, dogs allowed outside by the canal, children very welcome. We are quite friendly and don’t bite.
